Last April we went to Brisbane for 2 days and we totally forget about our pictures. Here they are 3 months later…
I visited Brisbane by myself last January and I really liked it, I was looking forward to bring Emi there. After we stayed in Byron Bay for two weeks we made our way to this lovely city. As there are no free camp in the city or even nearby we booked a hostel. It was kind of weird to leave our van for the night and to be honest we didn’t like it very much. Our little van is way more comfy that all the crappy accommodations and you don’t have to share the room or a bunk bed with someone. The only positive thing about it was the hot shower even if it didn’t need to be hot as the weather was really warm that day.

We arrived on a late Thursday afternoon, after checking at our hostel we went to the Southbank Parklands that was located just next door. We wandered along the river and enjoyed a quiet and peaceful evening. We love to discover cities at night, there is always something more magical about it. The morning after, we made our way to the center but first we grabbed ourselves a delicious dirty chai at the moving beans along the way that we enjoyed while walking. We went shopping for a while and bought some lovely stuffs to decorate our van. We had a very non-healthy and greasy lunch that I totally regretted after I ate it at The Wickham a pub in Fortitude Valley. They do have a great set up and an amazing courtyard. Too bad it was pouring outside. At rain stopped eventually, and let us have a swim at the streets beach while watching the sun set over the building. It was a successful getaway.
