After our little getaway to the south of France with Emilien this past week-end we are back home and I am more than ready to share the rest of our American road trip stories. We’ve still got around 10 amazing editorials to show you guys so I hope you are not tired of seeing them.

While our stay in San Louis Obispo we went to the famous MADONNA INN resort. The Madonna Inn is an international landmark destination which offers you an unique and unforgettable experience. Either you want to sleep in one of their 110 quirky rooms, grab a gigantic and colorful cake, eat at the Copper cafe or Gold Rush Steak House or just want to sip a delicious cocktail by the terrace pool bar or at the silver bar cocktail lounge, you will for sure have an amazing time. It all depends on your budget!

For our part, we went to have lunch at the Copper cafe and I can tell you that we enjoyed one of the best meal of our trip and we tasted the best carrot cake ever (pictures to come soon in the SLO city guide). We unfortunetly didn’t have enough money to spend the night there as a room cost $199 a night but we will for sure come back to experienced this madness.

Most of those pictures were taken in the Gold Rush Steak House next to the copper cafe where we sneaked in after our lunch. As this restaurant is open from 5 to 10 p.m we had the privilege to have the place all by ourselves. We could stay in this fairy tale all day long to discover every crazy details of this Disney-like place. Kitsch, pink and crazy are the words that define the most this establishment. I really advice you to visit it if you have the opportunity. The Madonna Inn is definitely a must seen while your trip to California central coast!
