Here is our last set of pictures from the outback. We took them in Silverton, an almost ghost town located 25km from Broken Hill. This little outback town is very famous in Australia because it has been the background of many movies and we understand why as the light is fantastic here as well. Have a tour at the well-known Silverton Hotel (also pub) to see for yourself, they’ve kept memorabilia from all the movie set over the years. The town doesn’t have much buildings left and only 60 inhabitants live here today. I absolutely adored this old post office and I couldn’t resist snapping some pictures in front of it. It really looked like a movie set!
The beautiful dress I am wearing is from Nine Lives Bazaar, an Australian label I discovered last year while I was still in France. I was looking forward to order something from their website for a while and I went with this beauty when they realesed their latest collection. I had it in our van for two months and I haven’t been able to wear it yet as it was winter. I would definitely wear it with over-the-knee boots and a floppy hat for a total 70’s style.
A travel diary and a video from our trip to the outback will be up next. Stay tuned.
